Roger DeForest Newby

Roger DeForest Newby, age 48, of Asheboro died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at his home Mr. Newby was a native of Randolph County and a 1982 graduate of Asheboro High School. He was member of Central United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his father Wilbur Ray Newby who died in 1987. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn C. Newby of Asheboro; brothers, William Raeford Newby and his wife Neva of Sophia, Harold C. Newby and his wife Sharon of Asheboro, Ronald C. Hendrix of Charlotte, Darryl "Butch" Hendrix of Asheboro. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Central United Methodist Church Chapel with Dr. Terry Matthews officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the home of Richard and Joan Kemp, 1000 Worth St. Ext., Asheboro.
