Rodney Elmore Adams, age 64, of 2823 Millboro Rd., Franklinville, died Sunday, September 12, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Adams was a native of Randolph County and retired from United Furniture Company, but was well known as a painter. Rodney is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anna Adams, his wife, Brenda Faye Adams and brothers, Eddie and Dickie Adams.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Atkins Adams, daughters: Rhonda Levy of Pleasant Garden, Venus Avery and her husband, Robby of Randleman; son: David Adams and his wife, Tammy of Franklinville; 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; brothers: Tracy Adams of Weaver, AL, and Clark Adams of Kane, PA; step children, Billy, Allen, and Danny Atkins, all of Randleman; Debbie Martin of Coleridge, and Holly Hudson of Randleman; 13 step grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman and other times at his home. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eugene Avery officiating. Burial will be in Country Holiness Cemetery, Randleman.
