Rocky Lathern Dennis

Rocky Lathern Dennis, age 69, of Troy died Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Carolinas Healthcare System, Albemarle, NC.

Mr. Dennis was born January 2, 1948 in Stanly County, the son of Robert Dennis and Geraldine (Farmer) Dennis. He served in the United States Army and was later employed as a Carpenter.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Romna Jean Dennis; two daughters, Julie D. Andrews and husband, Tim, of Albemarle, NC and Amanda P. Bowers of Norwood, NC; 3 grandchildren; mother, Geraldine Farmer Dennis; one brother, Donald Dennis; one sister, Kay Chapell and husband Tommy; one nephew, Cameron Dennis; two nieces, Lea Dennis and Lena Dennis.

He was preceded in death by his father, the Rev. Robert Dennis.

Rocky was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who enjoyed golfing, dancing, and bird watching.

A memorial service honoring Mr. Dennis will be held at a later date.
