Robert Eugene "Bob" Tate, age 74, of 508 Mt. Shepherd Rd. Ext., Asheboro died Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro.
Mr. Tate was born March 16, 1938 in Dumas, Texas to Robert Beal and Edna Belle Nall Tate.
He was a US Navy veteran and was a retired diesel mechanic with Ryder Truck Rental.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Musick Tate; daughter; Judy Hodges and her husband Don of Reidsville' son, Allen Tate and his wife Deborah of Greensboro; step-children, Mary Biddix of High Point, James Lester of High Point, Mark Lester of Ohio, Mitch Lester of Asheboro, Tina Lester of High Point, Teresa Lester of West Virginia; special grandson, B. J. Lamb of Asheboro; 20 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A graveside service with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 11:00 am at Floral Garden Park Cemetery, 1730 English Rd., High Point.
