Robert Samuel Russell

Robert "Bobby" Russell, Randleman, NC went home to be with the Lord on February 20, 2017. Bobby was born to the late Mary Alice and Ralph Russell. He was the beloved father of Dale Russell of Randleman and Lynn Russell Owens of Greenville, SC. Bobby was a decorated veteran of the Korean War. He was awarded the Occupational medal in Japan, the Korean service medal, the UN Service medal and 2 bronze service stars. He was a long time employee of Laughlin Hosiery Mill. Bobby was loved by friends and neighbors and a fixture at the head of the table of knowledge at daily breakfast meetings of the ROMEO club. (Retired Old Men Eating Out). Bobby was also a faithful member of Mt. Lebanon Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 1:30-2:00PM at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 119 W. River Drive, Randleman, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Kaye Fry officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the church.
