Robert E. Lee Connor

Robert E. Lee "Bob" Connor, age 60, of 470 Andrew Hunter Rd., Franklinville died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at V.A. Medical Center, Salisbury. Mr. Connor was a native of Randolph County and was a 1969 graduate of Randleman High School. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and was employed with Rubbermill in Liberty. Mr. Connor was preceded in death by his parents, John and Frances Bame Connor. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 4:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Rabon and Susan Cranford officiating and with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. He is survived by his wife, Jane Stalker Connor; daughter Heather Leigh Connor and her fiancée Waylon Blake of Candor; brothers, Jesse Connor of Sophia, Roger Connor of Randleman, Donald Connor and wife Edna Connor of Asheboro, Ronald Connor and wife Sharon of Franklinville' sisters, Ellen Boone of Ramseur, Mary Wood of Trinity, NC, Linda Bergman and her friend Marty Joyce of Randleman; 11 nephews, 8 nieces. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorial may be made to the V. A. Medical Center Hospice Unit, 1601 Brenner Ave., Salisbury, NC 28144
