On June 5 1987 God gave us one of the greatest gifts of our life, Robert Alan Bolick. He was devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin, grandson, and friend. His biggest love was family and friends, but his nephews and his dog “Cindy” were the center of his universe and his greatest joy. He was fondly known by his friends as “Big Rob”. Robert was a unique individual, who touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Robert did everything big! His life quote was “I’m doing big things”. Robert was passionate about everything he loved! He was either all in or he was all out, there was no half way. He was a man of integrity and a man of his word, and had a heart of gold. His sense of humor and love of life brought joy to all.
Robert was a graduate of Eastern Randolph High School, class of 2006 and student of Randolph College. He was employed by TE Connectivity as a Quality Technician for seven years. He was a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church.
His passions included, motorcycling, four wheeling, grilling and love of family. He was a member of the “Sophia Goon Squad ATV Club”, who he considered to be his extended family (aka Riding buddies).
On February 26 God decided he needed this unique young man and called him home and took the hearts of his parents and family with him. Robert leaves behind his parents, Cynthia and Rob Dortch, brothers, Brandon O’Neal Bolick and wife Amanda, Nicholas Christian Bolick and wife Carol. Nephews, Noah O’Neal Bolick, Jackson Christian Bolick, and Carson Eli Hicks. Grandmothers, Jean Carol and Alice Dortch. Aunts Sheila Sease Collins, Valerie Gitt and Dee Dortch. Uncles, Alex Troy Owens, III and Danny Dortch. Cousins: Justin, Matthew, Collin Sease, Krissie Wateski and Cassey Owens.
A celebration of life is scheduled Saturday, March 4, at 1:00 pm at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church, followed by a graveside service at New Hope Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome guest on Friday, March 3, from 6pm until 8pm at Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro.
