Robert Glenn Baber, Jr.

Robert Glenn Baber, Jr., age 36, of Sophia, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015. Mr. Baber was born in Randolph County on December 17, 1978. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Glenn Baber, Sr. Robert was an avid Tarheel and NASCAR fan. He was a loving family man. He is survived by his wife, Dena Baber; son, Robert “Rowdy” Glenn Baber, III of the home; mother, Katherine Greene of Shallotte; brothers, Matthew Lee Baber and Jamie Lynn Greene of Shallotte; grandmothers, Jessie Baber of Asheboro and Mary Locklear of Shallotte; aunts and uncles, Terry and Sandra Tysinger of Asheboro, Debbie and Jay Howard of Shallotte, and Patricia Millikan; great aunt, Marie Kirkman of Asheboro; and beloved dog, Wingo. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro and at other times at his home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Smyrna Grove Community Church Cemetery.
