Robert L Allen, age 71, of 602 Hickory Street, Troy died Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle. Mr. Allen was born August 19, 1940 at Montgomery County, NC, the son of Ervin and Bertie Dunn Allen. He was an owner/operator of a floor covering business. He was a member of Troy Wesleyan Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Patsy Blalock Allen of the home; one daughter: Stephanie Allen Lynthacum and husband Allen of Troy; two grandsons: Austin and Taylor Lynthacum; brothers and sisters: Magdline Sheffield of Seagrove, Grace Lemonds of Asheboro, Mae Perkins of Hanes City, FL, Clinton Allen of Star, Thomas Allen of Star, Shirley Adkins of Lancaster, SC, Bill Allen of Star, Linda Greene of Star, Clyde Allen of Biscoe, Gary Allen of Candor, Donald Allen of Star, Junior Allen of Biscoe, Stevie Allen of Seagrove and Walter Allen of Star. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm at the Troy Wesleyan Church, 842 Ophir Avenue, Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Troy Wesleyan Church with Pastor James Brewer and Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. Burial will be in Biscoe Cemetery, Biscoe.
