Rita Mae Presnell

Rita Mae Presnell, 86, of Asheboro died Saturday, November 8, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Presnell was born September 5, 1928 the daughter of Roy and Maggie (Evans) Jester. Rita was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening as well as spending time with her family, always making sure that they were well behaved. She is survived by her husband of 63 years: Jesse Lee Presnell; daughters: Joyce and her husband Kenny Metters, Debra and her husband Glenn Albright; grandchildren: Jason Metters, Jessica Maricich, Alan Albright, Mark Albright; great-grandchildren: Austin Albright, Ashlin Albright, Carter Metters, Collin Metters, Jonas Metters, Walter Maricich; and one sister Betty Jean Hussey. As well as her parents, Rita was also preceded in death by her brothers: Roy Jester, Jr and Austin Jester; and sisters: Mabel Brown, Glenda Brim, Mozelle Presnell, and Hazel Skeen. The family will receive friends Monday, November 10, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 2:00 at New Hope United Methodist Church, 4215 New Hope Church Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Clay Showalter officiating.
