Riley Shaun Gardner

Riley Shaun Gardner, age 5 , of 1578 Cedar Grove Dr., Asheboro died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at his home. Riley was a little boy who loved to be outdoors riding the four-wheeler and tractor with his PawPaw or wrestling with his brothers and sister. He loved going to church and singing at Big Oak Church of God and attended daycare at Victory Baptist Church. His favorite place to eat was Chick-Fil-A where he ate his "Christian Chicken" (This is what he called it since Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sunday). Riley was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cathy Chriscoe and great grandfather, Graham Chriscoe. He is survived by his parents Shaun and Jonie Chriscoe Gardner; sister, Tori Scofield and brothers, Frank and Michael Scofield all of the home; maternal grandparents, Mike and Patsy Chriscoe of Seagrove; paternal grandmother, Nancy Freeman of Asheboro; paternal grandfather, Sonny Garner of Asheboro; great grandmother, Martha Chriscoe of Seagrove. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Asbury Baptist Church, 395 Asbury Church Rd., Seagrove with Rev. Tim Beck and Rev. Wayne Bryson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at Riley's home. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Kevin Buckley and his nursing staff for their wonderful care and concern during Riley's illness.
