Ricky Allen Pickett

Ricky Allen Pickett, age 53, of Troy died at his home in Troy. Mr. Pickett was a native of Randolph County and had a love for classic cars. He was a 1976 graduate of Asheboro High School and a graduate of Randolph Community College where he received his electrical technician degree. Ricky was formerly employed with Nortel and Embarq. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Pickett, Jr. and Betty Alford Pickett. He is survived by his uncle and aunt, Johnnie and Rebecca Pickett of Asheboro; girlfriend, Susan Clark of Raleigh; cousins, Nellie and Randy Breedlove of Waxhaw, Martha Pickett and Edgell Pyles of Snow-Mass, CO, Frank and Bernie Wright of Tampa, FL, Mike Wright of Tampa, FL. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Thames and Rev. Pat Thames officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
