Ricky Lynn McPherson

Ricky Lynn McPherson, age 62, of Climax died Monday, October 5, 2015 at his home. Rick was a native of Randolph County and a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. He worked at Energizer for 38 years. Rick loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, daddy and granddaddy and was known by everyone for his humor. He is survived by his wife, Kathy McCaskill McPherson of the home, daughters; Teresa Petty and her husband Ritchie of Level Cross and Holly McPherson of Greensboro, grandchildren; Maleah McPherson, Ramsey Petty, Katherine Ann Petty, and Audra Petty, sisters; Suzette Spurlin and her husband Franklin of Climax and Sandra Newman of Asheboro, brother; Ronnie McPherson of Climax, and beloved dog, Jabbo. His celebration of life will be held Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church, 1415 Neelley Rd., Pleasant Garden with Rev. Michael Barrett officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall from 4:00-6:00 p.m. As evidenced throughout his battle with cancer, Rick honored and trusted the Lord. In lieu of flowers, he wished for memorials to be made to Pleasant Garden Baptist Church's, Upward Basketball Scholarships or Children/Youth Camp Scholarships, 1415 Neelley Rd., Pleasant Garden, NC 27313.
