Ricky Chesley Ingold, age 62, of Asheboro passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Mr. Ingold was born in Asheboro on February 22, 1955 to Russell and Edith Jones Ingold, who preceded him in death. He was a 1973 graduate of Asheboro High School. Ricky was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Ricky began his service to his community with Ridge- McDowell Funeral Home. He was later employed with the Randolph County EMS, Ashe-Rand Rescue Squad, and Ramseur Police Department. He retired as a Lt. Detective with the Randolph County Sheriff Department. Ricky's family and friends were very important to him, especially his grandchildren. He had a love for photography, and was a photographer for the Copperheads and The Courier-Tribune.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Hobson Ingold; sons, Christopher Ingold and wife Kaylin of Asheboro and Nicholas Ingold of Asheboro; grandchildren, Jayce Ingold and Anderson Ingold; step daughter, Lisa Eckhardt and husband Brent of Wilmington; step grandchildren, Sage Monroe and Caleb, Grace, and Addie Eckhardt; sister, Phyllis Calloway and husband Don of Asheboro; and his trusted dog, Dusty.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 11:00 am at Bethel Baptist Church, 4836 Robbins Circle Rd., Asheboro with Dr. Jody Harrison and Chaplain Dwight Ayers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of the Randolph Hospice House for the care and concern given to Ricky.
