Rickie Charles Cox

Rickie Charles Cox, age 64, of Asheboro passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at his home.

Born on February 22, 1953 in Randolph County, Rickie was the son of Joyce Frye.

Mr. Cox was a veteran of the US Marines and a retired surveyor. Rickie was a loving father who enjoyed canoeing, camping, hunting and spending time with his wife of 47 years and family.

He is survived by his wife: Janie Spencer Cox; four daughters: Sherri Young and husband Billy of Sophia, Amy Cox Bunch and husband Joshua of Randleman, Kimberly Cox of Asheboro, Amber Henson and husband Jeremy of Asheboro,11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Rickie was preceded in death by his mother and one grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 5:00-6:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.  A memorial service will follow on Wednesday at 6:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Wansley officiating.
