Richard Paul Spessert,Sr.

Richard Paul Spessert, Sr, 86, of Randleman passed away Wednesday August 7, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in High Point. He was born February 14, 1938 to Edward Spessert and Opal Violet Poolin Spessert in Pifer Mountain, WV. 

Richard was a caring and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was married for 58 years to the love of his life, Pearl, who passed away in 2019. When not spending time with his family he could be found outdoors, woodworking, or enjoying his rest. 

Richard is survived by his three sons, Richard Spessert, Jr. (Penny)of Randleman, Jody Spessert of Randleman, Robert Spessert (Jannette) of Randleman; daughter, Tina Osborne of Randleman; grandchildren, Jessica Clark of Randleman, Robin Nelson of Randleman, Ivy Spessert of Randleman; great-grandsons, Joseph Clark of Randleman, Shamus Nelson of Randleman; step grandson, Anthony Via of Florida. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Spessert. 

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
