Dale Spainhour

Richard Dale Spainhour, age 62, of Asheboro, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

Dale was born March 5, 1962 to Raymond and Gertrude Spainhour. He retired from Baker Furniture and was employed as the maintenance director at First Baptist Church for the past 15 years. Dale was of the Christian faith. His service to others was his way of showing love and his service to his church was done with pride and passion. Dale loved to hunt and fish, enjoyed working on old cars and attending auctions and yard sales. He also enjoyed cooking and barbecuing. Most of all, Dale loved his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his son, Nathan Brooks and his brother, James Lee Spainhour.

Dale is survived by his partner, Renee Johnson of Asheboro; daughter, Daleena Cobo and husband Milton of Florida; son, Nickie Brooks and wife Linda of Thomasville; brothers, Spanky Spainhour of Ramseur, Jeff Spainhour and wife Sandra of Asheboro; sister, Susan McBride and husband Harrison of Archdale; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at First Baptist Church, 133 S. Church St., Asheboro with Rev. Stephen Owen and Rev. Mark Hall officiating.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 133 S. Church St., Asheboro, NC 27203.
