Richard Roy Pugh, age 94, of North Pointe Assisted Living, Randleman died Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro with Rev. Burton King officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro.Mr. Pugh was a native of Randolph County and was of the Baptist faith. He was formerly employed with McCrary Hosiery and retired from Sapona Manufacturing. He is survived by his wife, Edith Osborne Pugh; daughters, Hilda P. Handley and Sandra Williams Reese both of Asheboro, NC; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 from 12:30-1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of Sandra Reese, 1555 Sylvan Way, Asheboro.
