Richard Keith Morris

Richard Keith "Richie" Morris, age 32, of Troy, died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 1408 N. Sandhills Blvd., Aberdeen. Richie was born October 10, 1980 at Troy, NC, the son of Ronnie Wayne Morris of Troy and the late Angela Comer Morris. As a young child, Richie enjoyed Pinewood Derby racing. He was a member of the Boy Scouts, loved riding his four-wheeler and playing baseball. During his youth he was a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church youth. He was a member of Calvary Gospel Church of Denton. He was a certified mechanic formerly employed by Keystone Freight of Greensboro. He loved working on cars and trucks. In addition to his father, Richie is survived by one son: Seth Morris of Thomasville; stepmother: Ella Morris of the home; grandmother: Doris Comer of Candor; stepsister: Maria Broos and husband, Brian of Thomasville; a host of aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Troy; other times at the home of his father and stepmother at 4519 NC Hwy 109N, Troy. Funeral services will be Thursday at 3:00 pm at Macedonia United Methodist Church, 4203 NC Hwy 109N, Troy with the Rev. Don Jarrell and Rev. Derald Smith officiating.
