Richard Dalton Lamb

Richard Dalton Lamb, age 59, of 4303 Waynick Meadow Rd. in Asheboro lost his battle with cancer on Friday, October 31, 2008 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Mr. Lamb was born January 24, 1949 in Thomasville, NC. Mr. Lamb was a native of Davidson County. He was a Navy Veteran, was in sales with Kagan's Funiture in High Point and was a private investor. Richard was a beloved husband, father, paw paw, son and brother. Richard, also believed very much in helping others and with him being such a true free spirit decided to give of himself and become an organ donor to further his cause. He is survived by his wife: Cathy Mespelt Lamb, daughter: Heather Soja of Asheboro; son: Gabriel "Gabe" Sands of Randleman; 4 grandchildren; mother: Betty Wilson Lamb of Thomasville; brothers: David Lamb of Asheboro and Ronald Lamb of Thomasville. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 6:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro with Rev. David Bowman officiating.
