Richard G Holt

Richard Gray Holt, Sr, age 93, of Troy died Friday, September 6, 2013 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst. Richard was born September 14, 1919 at Alamance County, the son of Hurbert H. and Cornelia Nicholson Holt. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a US Navy veteran of World War II. Richard drove a truck for over 40 years for H. R. Holt Gulf Co. He is preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of seventy years: Agnes Poole Holt of the home; one daughter: Barbara H Yarboro of Troy; one son: Richard Holt, Jr. of Troy; one grandson: Robert Bryan Yarboro of Troy; two great-grandchildren: Abbie Yarboro and Tyler Yarboro, both of Mt. Gilead. A graveside service, with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard, will be Monday, September 9, 2013 at 4 pm at Southside Cemetery, S. Main St., Troy with the Reverend Dr. Bryan Faggart officiating. The family will receive friends at the home.
