Richard Allen Grant

Mr. Richard Allen Grant, 65, of Asheboro, NC passed away Wednesday July 20 at his home in Asheboro, NC. A memorial service was held in his honor at Calvary Gospel Church in Denton, NC on Monday July 25 at 1 o'clock officiated by Pastor Don Jarrell. Richard was born to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Grant in Orangeburg, SC on May 12, 1951. He is survived by his sister, Iola Taylor and husband Ronnie of Summerville, SC and brother Rodney Grant and wife Betty also of Summerville, SC. He is also survived by cousin, Tony Deaton and wife Karen of Asheboro, NC and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Richard was forced into early retirement due to health reasons from Klaussner Furniture Industries of Asheboro. He was a veteran long haul truck driver. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing and attending church at his home church Calvary Gospel Church.
