Rhonda Frazier Smith, age 56, of Asheboro died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Mrs. Smith was born in Siler City on October 16, 1958. She was formerly employed as a CNA and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Bennett. Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, Earl Frazier and brother, Earl Wingate Frazier. Rhonda had a great personality and a sweet spirit. She was a mother figure to many.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Smith; mother, Annie Mae Frazier of Siler City; siblings, Barbara Powers and husband Kenny of Goldston, Bo Frazier and wife Gail of Asheboro, Jesse Howard Frazier and wife Alice of Ramseur, Sue Owens Barnes and husband Timmy of Bear Creek; self-proclaimed granddaughter, Sissy; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 8616 Curtis Powers Road, Bennett with Rev. Dr. Russell Brownworth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
