Rev. Luther Thomas "Tommy" Dillon, age 68, of Asheboro died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles R. Fleshman officiating. Rev. Dillon was born in West Virginia on October 17, 1943 to Edward and Thelma Suphin Dillon. He was a retired Full Gospel minister, serving in the Concord, NC area, where he was the former minister of the Church of the Trinity and Freedom Full Gospel Church. After his retirement, Tommy supplied in various churches in the area. In addition to his ministry, he was known for his loving and giving heart and was always serving those in need. In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his brother Buddy Dillon. He is survived by his wife, Ann Edmonds Dillon; sons, Greg Dillon of West Virginia, Joey Dillon of Las Vegas, NV, Eddie Dillon of Newton, NC; step sons, Greg Williams of Raleigh, NC, Darrin Williams of Chapel Hill, NC; step daughter, Sonia Bunder of Rhye, NY; granddaughter, Kaylee Dillon of West Virginia; grandsons, Tanner Dillon of West Virginia, Grayson Dillon of Las Vegas, NV; step grandson, Zachery Bunder of Rhye, NY; step granddaughters, Dylan Bunder of Rhye, NY, Charli Bunder of Rhye, NY, Salem Williams of Chapel Hill, NC, and Sophie Williams of Chapel Hill, NC; and sister, Judy Stowers of Clothier, WV. Memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church of Seagrove Building Fund, P.O. Box 470, Seagrove, NC 27341.
