Rev. Lee Lautenschleger
Rev. Eldora Lee Thompson Lautenschleger celebrated her Heavenly Homecoming May 19, 2019 passing peacefully in the twinkling of an eye as she crossed Jordan walking hand in hand with the Father while the angels rejoiced. She served the Lord without ceasing as God's Ambassador and a consummate Prayer Warrior striving to tell the story of Jesus every day in her words, deeds and never-ending faith. She will be remembered for the many opportunities that God provided for her to share His word. Her intercessory prayer ministry The Prayer Warrior, Inc., shepherding God's family at Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, spreading the word over the airways at WZOO, and years of training others in emergency medicine. But most of all, she will be remembered as a cherished daughter, caring sister, endearing spouse, loving mother, doting grandmother and pillar of strength to many over her 74 earthly years.
Paving the pathway to Heaven, she was preceded in death by her beloved father, Allen R. Thompson; dearest mother, Ila Selena Haddock; cherished brother, Allen R. Thompson, II; and adored Aunt, Lonnie Beane.
Loved ones that will miss her until they meet again are her husband of 58 years Jerry Lautenschleger, who was her one and only "honey bear"; loving and devoted children, Loretta Lautenschleger Rivera (Greg) and Samuel Lautenschleger (Jeannie); precious grandchildren Drake Rivera and Hunter Rivera; brother, Hatlie Ray Thompson (Julia); nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whose lives were touched forever by her unconditional love.
The family will celebrate her life with visitation at Pugh Funeral Home on Saturday May 25 from 6-8 PM with a graveside service at Randolph Memorial Park on Sunday May 26 at 2:00 PM. The anointed servant of God, Donald Presnell officiating.
The family has asked that blessings in her honor be bestowed upon the loving and caring Hospice House of Randolph County.
