Rev. J. O. Smith

Rev. J. O. Smith, age 85, of Universal Healthcare of Ramseur, formerly of Hawthorne Dr., Asheboro died Sunday, September 7, 2008 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leslie Winslow and David Millikan officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Rev. Smith was a native of Forsyth County, Army veteran of WWII and a retired minister. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fleta Hancock Smith. He is survived by son, Jimmy L. Smith of Asheboro, NC; daughters, Donna S. Johnson of Siler City, NC and Linda Teachey of Woodstock, GA; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Adelaide Harmon of Asheboro, NC; brothers, Bobby Smith and Tommy Smith both of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 9, 2009 from 6 - 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. < Memorials may be made to Asheboro Friends Meeting, 230 E.
