Rev. Herbert Butler

Rev. Herbert Butler, age 79, of 1851 Saddlewood Ct., Asheboro died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Randolph Hospital. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 12:00 noon-2:00 pm at Vision of Unity Outreach Ministries. Funeral services will follow on Thursday at 2:00 pm at Vision of Unity Outreach Ministries. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Rev. Butler was a native of Randolph County. He retired, after 30 years of service, as pastor of Faith Christian Tabernacle. After retirement, he went back into the ministry as pastor of Maranatha Soul Saving Station in Charlotte for 11 years. He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Lancaster and her husband Stephen of Charlotte, NC, Jennifer Butler Evans and her husband Harold of Randleman, NC; son, Stephen Butler of Asheboro, NC; 9 grandchildren; and sister, Justina Serlin of New York, NY. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Butler family.
