Ressie Daniel "R.D." Perry

Ressie Daniel "R.D." Perry, age 90, of Asheboro passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016 at the Randolph Hospice House. Mr. Perry was born in Siler City, NC on October 12, 1925 to George and Johnsie Hinshaw Perry. R.D. served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from the Sign Department of the State of North Carolina after 25 years of service and after his retirement he was employed with Wal-Mart. He was a member of West Bend United Methodist Church and loved listening to music. In addition to his parents, R.D. was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Freeman Perry. He is survived by several extended family members. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Drew McIntyre officiating and with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
