Rebecca Jane Harrelson Raymond, age 90, of 2128 Lamar Dr., Asheboro died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 22, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Poindexter officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Mrs. Raymond was a native of Randolph County, retired from Commonwealth Hosiery and a member of Central Falls United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard William Raymond, son, Randy Raymond; parents, Levi and Ollie Millikan Harrelson, and sisters, Charlotte Earl and Edna Wiles. She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Raymond Olinger and her husband Darrick of Asheboro; sons, Bernie Raymond and his wife Becky of Asheboro, Robert Raymond of Franklinville; grandchildren, Keith Raymond of Randleman, Craig Raymond of Denton, Ben Raymond of Asheboro, Amanda Riggs of Wilmington, William Swaney of Siler City, Carey Swaney of Asheboro; 18 great grandchildren; brothers, Charles Harrelson of Seagrove, Gurney Harrelson of Star, Bill Harrelson of Seagrove, Bobby Harrelson of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at her home. The family would like to like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Randolph Hospital for the care given to Mrs. Raymond during her illness. Memorials may be made to charity of donor's choice.
