Reba Feemster Williams, age 97, of Asheboro, died Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton.
Mrs. Williams was born September 24, 1918 in McConnells, SC, the daughter of William Ensley and Susan Bailey Feemster. She was retired after 20 years from First National Bank, and formerly employed with the City of Asheboro and the United Fund. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and attended Oakhurst Baptist Church. She was a member of the Dig 'N Dream Garden Club and the Business and Professional Women's Club. Her hobbies were cooking, especially making her holiday peanut brittle and traveling to the Outer Banks with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Reba was preceded in death by her husband, E. Julius Williams and eight brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Susan Rivers & husband, Terry of Huntersville, NC and son, Jay Williams & his wife, Sharon of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter, Catherine Fitzgerald & her husband Kirk of Mechanicsville, VA; grandson, Jason Williams & his wife, Deanna of Safety Harbor, FL; great-grandson, Jaymes Fitzgerald.
A graveside service will be Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro, NC with Dr. Richard Crider and Dr. Keith Hudson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Oakhurst Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 2225 S. Fayetteville St., Asheboro, NC.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff of Mt. Vista health park in Denton for the excellent care they provided for their mother. They cared for mom with love and compassion as if it were their own family member. We will always be grateful for their dedication and service.
