Ray Lloyd Jordan

Ray L. Jordan, age 88, passed away Monday, October 26, 2009 at Clapp's Nursing Center.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Pierce's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Kenneth Key and Elder Ted Morton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.Mr. Jordan was born in Star, NC on August 24, 1921. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and was awarded 2 purple hearts. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Nora Jordan, brother, Everette Jordan and sister, Alma Lowdermilk. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lois Jordan; daughters, Gail Kellam and her husband Ken, Golda Patterson and her husband Jim; sons, Mike Jordan and Mark Jordan, grandsons, Jason Patterson and his wife Sabrina, Jarod Kellam and his wife Jennifer, Jeremy Patterson and his wife Pam, Phillip Kellam, Matthew Jordan, Andrew Jordan; great grandsons, Nathan and Owen Kellam and twin great granddaughters; brother, Harold Jordan; sister, Grace Hill; and many nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NCMemorials may be made to Pierce's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, 2661 Ross Wood Rd., Trinity, NC 27370 or Greensboro Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Herbert Edwards, 3449 Alamance Rd., Julian, NC 27283.
