Raymon Albert "Ray" Hamlin, age 56, of Asheboro died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the Randolph Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Shook officiating.
Mr. Hamlin was a longtime resident of Asheboro and was of the Baptist faith. He was employed with T.E. in Greensboro as a Process Technician. Ray was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, son, and brother. Ray will be fondly remembered as a good friend with a giving and generous nature.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte "Jeannie" King Hamlin; son, Brian Eric Hamlin of Asheboro; daughters, Amy Ray Smith and her husband Franklin of Asheboro; Lori Ann Simmons and her husband Billy of Randleman; granddaughters, Bobbie "Taylor" Higgins, Kasey Abigail Higgins, Abigail Morgan Smith, Maggie McKay Allred, Kara Michelle Hamlin; mother, Pauline Hamlin of Pine Knot, KY; brother, Eddie Hamlin of Pine Knot, KY; half-brothers, Bob Hamlin and his wife Joan and Don Hamlin and his wife Louise all of Pine Knot, KY.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
