Ray Tillman Dyer

Ray Tillman Dyer, age 90, of Asheboro died Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation.

Mr. Dyer was a native of Polk County and served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of Balfour Baptist Church and retired from Asheboro City Schools as maintenance supervisor.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Shepherd Dyer; grandson, Justin Combs-Peele of Raleigh; sister, Ava Lee McQueen of Greensboro; brother, Clinton Dyer of Troy.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Mason and Roger Pritchard officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
