Randall Boyd Harris

Randall Boyd Harris, age 60, of Mt. Gilead died Saturday, January 25, 2014 at his residence. Randall was born May 26, 1953 at Richmond, VA the son of Ruben Bud and Margaret Ellen Evans Harris. He was involved in the fire sprinkler industry for over 40 years and owner of Fire Technologies, Inc. for the past ten years. Randall loved playing his guitar and fishing. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Thurman Ruben Harris. He is survived by his wife of five years: Lucy Lloyd-Harris of Mt. Gilead; one son: Thurman Brandon Harris and wife, Leann of Richmond, VA; one brother: Wayne Gregory Harris and wife, Ellen of Forest, VA; one stepdaughter, Katy Touchstone of Shreveport, LA; one stepson, Trey Touchstone and wife, Rachel of Shreveport, LA; one step-grandchild, Jack Guedry Touchstone; nephews: Ruben Bud Harris and wife, Andrea N Harris, Thomas Wayne Harris and wife, Tawyna Taylor Harris; one niece, Heather Sawyer. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church, 230 S. 2nd St., Albemarle with Pastor John Futterer officiating. Burial will be private. Randall was instrumental in promoting residential fire sprinklers for the protection of loved ones in the home.
