Ralph Wilson

James Ralph Wilson, age 86, of Asheboro died Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro with Rev. Nellie Bescher and Rev. Tim Fonner officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Mr. Wilson was a native of Stokes County and a member of Whispering Pines Presbyterian Church. He was employed with Acme-McCrary for 25 years and General Electric\Black and Decker for 25 years. Mr. Wilson had a love of the outdoors, hunting, farming and loved telling tales. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Trogdon Wilson. He is survived by daughter and her husband, Patty and Bobby Dampier of Hanson, KY; daughter, Susan McKay of Boone, NC; daughter and her husband, Beverly and Jim Culbertson of Liberty, NC; daughter and her husband, Cathy and Dave Cheek of Chesterfield, VA; son and his wife, J. Ralph and Donna Mae Wilson, Jr. of Cebu, Phillipines; grandchildren, Celeste Loucks of Bon Aqua, TN; Will Hanner of Franklinton, NC; Sara Hanner of Haines, AK; Bo Kime of Greensboro, NC; Sagen Kime of Climax, NC; J. R. Wilson, III of Cuenca, Equador; Brad Wilson of Kansas; Wes Lunsford of Austin, TX; Christy Lunsford of Bristol, VA; Patrick Cheek of Morgantown, WV; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Beulah Davis of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 3, 2008 from 12:30-2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
