Ralph Harold Trogdon, Sr., age 88, of Randleman, died Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mr. Trogdon is a native of Randolph County and served in the US Navy during WWII. Ralph served two terms as Mayor of Randleman. He worked for Sears in High Point, NC and Kingsport, TN, and was the former owner of "Randleman Store Company". He was active in military organizations and was also the former Post Commander of the Worthville VFW. After Ralph retired, he began repairing sewing machines locally where he met many of his friends. Ralph is preceded in death by his wife Blanche Trogdon, sisters: Irene Daniels, Edith Hinshaw, Pearl Wood, Anne Parrish and Mildred Kennedy; brothers: Arnold and Jim Trogdon.
He is survived by his daughter: Karen Grigg and her husband David of Troy; his son: Harold Trogdon and his wife Bari of Randleman; 4 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren;
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 119 W. River Drive, Randleman, NC. The funeral will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, with Rev. Carol Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro with military rites by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
