Ralph Clement Jones

Ralph Clement Jones, age 87, of High Rock Lake passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at his home. Mr. Jones was born in Randolph County on December 18, 1928 to J. Frank and Maie Bonkemeyer Jones. He was the retired owner/operator of Jones Skating Rink in Southern Pines. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Irene Lambe Jones, daughter Doris Jeanette Jones, and brothers Odell and Elbert Jones. Ralph enjoyed riding his tractor and when he had the chance, fishing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed life. He is survived by his daughter, Carroll Scroggins and husband Herman of Swansboro; sons, Douglas Jones and wife Phyllis of High Rock Lake, David Randell Jones of Lake Norman; grandchildren, Melissa J. Schlee and husband Joe of Apex and their children Elizabeth, Kattie, and Lexi, Andrea M. Jones of Pinehurst ,Vince Scroggins of Stella and his child Briseis, Bay Scroggins and wife Maggie of Raleigh and their child Auden. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 1:30-2:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Burial will be held on Saturday at 3:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park with Rev. Jack Bowling officiating. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials may be made to a pet friendly organization of the donor's choice.
