Ralph Edwin Felts of Asheboro died Saturday, August 16, 2014 at his home. Mr. Felts was the son of Millard and Mae Beatrice Yale Felts. Mr. Felts was a native of Wilkes County and a veteran of the US Air Force serving his country during the Korean Conflict. Ralph was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver for Yellow Freight in Charlotte after 25+ years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Cross Felts, sisters, Frances Katherine Felts and Iva Lee Absher, brother, Everette Millard Felts. He is survived by his son: Richard Felts and his wife, Vicki of Asheboro; daughter: Sharon Schumann and her husband, Greg of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren: Richard A. Felts of Goldsboro, Danny Schumann and Jennifer Schumann both of San Antonio, TX; 5 great grandchildren; sister: Joyce Felts Eller and husband Earl of Wilkesboro; brothers-in-law: Jimmy Cross of Asheboro and Roy Absher of N. Wilkesboro; sister-in-law: Frances A. Felts of Wilkesboro. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Adrian Pugh officiating and with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 2235 Spero Road, Randleman, NC 27317. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Felts family.
