Ralph Lee Blackwell

Ralph Lee Blackwell, age 74, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the Randolph Hospice House.

Ralph was born in Spartanburg, SC on October 30, 1947.  He was a graduate of Asheboro High School.  Ralph was formerly employed with Coca-Cola, Harrelson Rubber, Pugh Funeral Home, Hedgecock Builders Supply, Stuart-Bowman Auto, Strider Buick, and O'Reilly Auto Parts.  Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Guynell Hunt and grandchildren, Anna Hunter and Silas Sechriest.  Ralph enjoyed Carolina Tarheels basketball, spending time with his family, and going to the beach.

He is survived by his wife, Lorrie Blackwell; children, Candy Hunter (Ryan) of Asheboro, Carla Hardee of Sanford, Tripp Robinson (Stephanie) of Charlotte, and Tabitha Robinson of High Point; grandchildren, Madison Hardee, Jake Hunter, Asher Sechriest, Zoey and Noah Robinson, and Peyton Whitaker; and sister, Kim Presnell (Randy Nance) of Asheboro.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 12:00-1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.  Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Al Cesar officiating.  Burial will be held at Randolph Memorial Park.
