Raeford Thomas Hunt

November 15, 1934-March 8, 2019

He loved God, his family, cars and racing. Raeford was the owner and operator of Hunt's Garage from 1962 to 2014.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Janet Staley Hunt. Daughters Christine (Bill) Presnell of Ramseur, Danita (Michael) Crotts of Asheboro, and son Marty (Missy) Hunt of Asheboro.

Grandchildren Jacqueline (Tyler) Eichelberger of Fuquay-Varina, Laura (Michael) Hayes of Asheboro and Matthew Hunt of Asheboro. Great-grandchildren Channing and Raeline Eichelberger, Anderson and Charlotte Hayes, and Raegan Hunt. Sister Elizabeth Hunt and brother Wesley Hunt.

He was preceded in death by father and mother Tennyson and Bertie Phillips Hunt, sister Myrtle Lee Kindley, brothers Paul Hunt, Grady Hunt, Kenneth Hunt, Willard Hunt, Larry Hunt, Gene Hunt, and Jerry Hunt.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 11:30 am-12:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Monday at 1:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Freeman and Rev. Ralph Pugh officiating. Burial will be held in Randolph Memorial Park.
