Rachel was known as a “go-better”, a ball of fire! She loved spending time with her sisters going to South Carolina to play the Lottery. She enjoyed going to yard sales and working in her garden prior to aging. Rachel loved her family fiercely, especially her grandchildren. You could always expect a scratch off for every holiday and a personalized gift she'd ordered from the catalog. There were many, many laughs over the years. Anyone who knew her will most certainly have a story to tell that involves Rachel, be sure to ask them. Rachel was quiet regarding her faith for the majority of her life; however, within the months, weeks and days leading up to her passing her faith was evident and Gods presence clear. She is rejoicing in Heaven and healed from all earthly discomfort. She will be deeply missed here on earth with a memory impossible to forget.
The family would like to give special thanks for the wonderful care given to Rachel by Hannah; Adoration Home Health, Stanly Staff; Sherry at Tillery Compassionate Care; and Autumn Care Staff.
Memorials may be given in Rachel's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Place, Memphis TN, 38105.
