Rachel Ann Nelson Routh

Rachel Ann Nelson Routh, age 65, of Sophia died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at her home. Ms. Routh was born in Asheboro on June 19, 1950 to Norman and Ina Rich Nelson. She was employed with Cast M Reproductions of Trinity for 10 years. In addition to her parents, Rachel was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter Dennis "Buster" Nelson, David Allen Nelson, and Danny Ray Nelson, and niece, Shelley Hodgin. She is survived by her sons, David Routh and wife Karen of Greensboro, Charles Routh and wife Renee of Sophia; grandsons, Alan Michael Routh and Matthew Norman Routh both of Greensboro; sisters, Brenda Spencer and husband Benny of Coleridge, Jackie Hodgin and husband Ricky of Level Cross; and brother, Larry Newman and wife Catherine of Sophia. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Rich Family Cemetery on Plainfield Road north of Buck Road in Sophia with Rev. David Angel officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the home of Charles Routh, 4667 Plainfield Rd., Sophia. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Routh family.
