Rachel Davis Lewis, age 81, of Asheboro, died Friday, July 1, 2016 at Cross Road Retirement Community in Asheboro.
Mrs. Lewis was born July 28, 1934, the daughter of Glendon and Addie Morgan Davis.
She was a native of Randolph County and was a member of West Chapel United Methodist Church and was retired from Black and Decker, Inc. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather Grady Rouse, and brothers, Tommy and Gene Davis.
She is survived by her husband, James William Lewis, Daughter, Vickie Walters and her husband, Bill of Asheboro, granddaughter, Michelle Key and grandson, Dustin Walters, both of Asheboro, NC; Great-grandchildren, Austin and Lauren Key, and Camden Walters, sister, JoAnne Cole of Ramseur, NC and brother: Bob Davis of Asheboro, NC
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 1:00 at Pugh Funeral Home with Rev. E. Lee Ellis officiating.
Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
