Rachel Carolyn Hanes Caudle

Rachel Carolyn Hanes Caudle, 83, of Franklinville was called home by her lord and savior on Monday, December 30, 2024. She was born on March 3, 1941 in Randleman, NC to John Ellis Hanes and Margaret Bell Brawley Hanes.

Rachel will be remembered as a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved being a homemaker and being around her extended family. Her passions include cooking, travelling, and going to the beach. When she was home, she could be found in her huge vegetable garden or tending to her flowers, especially red geraniums. 

Rachel is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Chad) Queen of Randleman; son, David (Rita) Caudle, Sr. of Franklinville; grandchildren, Nathan Queen, Sarah Queen, Rachel Queen, David Caudle, Jr., Dallas Caudle; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 39 years, Ned Caudle and 12 brothers and sisters. 

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Bethany Community Church in Franklinville, NC. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with Reverend Jenna Grogan officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rachel’s honor can be made to Hospice of Randolph, 416 Vision Dr., Asheboro, NC 27203.
