Polly Key

Polly Marshall Key passed in the loving hands of her children and family on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. Mrs. Key was born August 15, 1927 at White Plains, NC to Myron and Stella Key Marshall. She was retired from Weeks Construction Company. Polly is remembered by her children for her lifelong love and devotion to them. They were privileged and honored to give her the same love and nurturing as she left this earthly life. Her children and grandchildren will be sustained as they hold her love and spirit close to their hearts. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Key was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Key and sisters, Peggy Stanley and Norma Koontz. She is survived by daughters, Sandy Key of Asheboro, Susan K. Heilig of Ferguson; son, Sam Key of Raleigh; grandchildren, Madison Heilig, Conor Key; brother, Robert Marshall of Asheboro; sister, Libby Clapp of Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 12:00 noon at White Plains Friends Meeting Cemetery, 849 Old Hwy. 601, Mt. Airy with Rev. Jake Penley officiating. Please join the family for food and fellowship following the service in the church fellowship hall.
