Phyllis Varner

Phyllis Varner, age 66, of 237 Charles Ave., Asheboro died Monday, October 17, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor J. C. Miles officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Ms. Varner was formerly employed with Jockey International and retired from Commonwealth Hosiery Mills. She loved working in her flowers and spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by fiance, Tommy Morton of Asheboro; daughter, Sherry Cifuentes and her husband Juan of Ramseur; son, Rodney Varner and his wife Tina of Asheboro; step-daughter, Wendy Morton of Asheboro; step-son, Tommy Morton, Jr. of Asheville; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Barry Miller; sisters, Patricia Hancock, Joyce Allred, Linda Kennedy, Minnie Miller. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 18, 2011 from 7 to 9 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
