Phyllis Ann Greene

Phyllis Ann Jarrell Greene, age 79, of Asheboro died Monday, May 17, 2021 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home. Mrs. Greene was born May 4, 1942 in Asheboro to Walter and Nealie Jarrell. She was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church and was retired from Eveready Battery. Mrs. Greene was an unselfish lady who was very giving and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She also enjoyed having picnics on her way to the beach. Mrs. Greene loved her grandkids and enjoyed watching them play ball. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her sister, Shelby Patrick and brother, Donnie Jarrell. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Eddie Harold Greene; sons, Randy Greene and wife Glynis of Asheboro, Kelly Harold Greene and wife Julie of Asheboro; grandchildren, Andie, Tyler, Zach and Gabi; 3 great grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Kenneth W. Jarrell of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, 901 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Rev. Randy Browder officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
