Phelton Harding Massey

Phelton Harding "P.H" Massey, age 91, of Randleman died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at his home. Mr. Massey was born January 27, 1921 at Jonesboro, NC, now Sanford Heights, the son of Dwight and Hallie Mae Massey. Mr. Massey was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Army. He retired from the Randleman Post Office as head postmaster and was a member of First Baptist Church in Randleman. P.H is preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Routh Massey and son Patrick Massey. He is survived by one daughter: Jill Massey Smith of Batesburg, SC; grandchildren, Lisa Massey of Randleman, Shannon Senterfeit of Batesburg, SC, David Massey of Randleman, and Kelli Phillips of Asheboro; great-grandchildren , Jessica Abney, Jordan Abney , Allison Phillips and Kaydence Swaney; great-great grandchildren, Grayson Craps and Colton Abney. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 5:30 - 8:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Friday, February 17, 2012 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church, Randleman with Rev. Chris Heppdin and Rev. Kenneth Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro with the Randolph County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Hospice Of Randolph, P.O.
