Peggy Carter

Peggy Dorsett Carter, age 79, of Greensboro died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mrs. Carter was born October 17, 1936 the daughter of Vance and Hazel Robbins Dorsett. Peggy was a native of Randolph County and a graduate of Randleman High School, 1955 and a graduate of Elon College. She was a member of Westminister and worked in the family business, DT Carter Construction. She is survived by her husband of 56 years: Donald T. Carter of the home; son, Michael Scott Carter and his wife Heather Whittaker Carter of Greensboro; grandchildren: Kendall Grey Carter and Cole Thomas Carter. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, 420 West Walker Ave., Asheboro with Rev. Brian Gawf officiating. Burial will be at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. Memorials may be made at Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
