Peggy Ruth Butcher Bray

Peggy Ruth Butcher Bray, age 77, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Ms. Bray was a native of Surry County and was retired from the furniture industry. She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Rufus Butcher and brother, Robert Butcher. Peggy was loved by everyone who knew her. She loved crocheting and flowers. She is survived by her son, Ricky Odell White of Mt. Airy; daughter, Darlene Ruth White Jessup of Mt. Airy; mother, Hattie Etta Snow Butcher, age 100, of Northpointe Assisted Living; siblings, Lou Ella Jones of Seagrove, Harvey Butcher of Asheboro, James Butcher and wife Marie of Asheboro, Mozelle Britt of Franklinville, Bertha Layton and husband Joe of Liberty, Larry Butcher of Kentucky; 8 grandchildren; and 35 nieces and nephews. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the family.
